Not surprised one bit as they are the home of UM and EMU.

That’s one reason I like living here.

Debbie Dingell carried Washtenaw County by 75 pct.

Was back in Ypsi a couple of weeks ago and got lost. I'd live in AA now if I had the money.

Chelsea and Manchester, way out of my league. Bought a nice little house on 2 acres, not to far from CMU.

Chelsea, Manchester, Milan, Dexter and Saline are all getting pricey.

Canton is going through the roof price wise.

Novi and Northville you hafta be very wealthy to live there.

Lately I have been seeing more California plates here.

Ann Arbor a few years back had to add a high school due to the influx of new residents.

I am definitely not going to retire in this area of MI.

and then I realized not all of them live on campus (fewer than 9000) and some undoubtedly vote by mail from their home address.

One ploy is, making it so student ID doesn't count as ID at the polls.

a concern not just at U of M but all universities and colleges. Pretty low vote totals considering enrollment. 51K enrollment and under 10K in voters. I sure don't get it but that is what we're up against.

I don't know what the numbers are, but I do know that UM pulls students from all over the country (and the world). Probably not all 40,000 non-voters, but I'd bet a substantial number of them.

The University of Michigan’s preliminary enrollment data for fall 2022 shows continued growth in the number of undergraduate applicants seeking admission to the university, as well as gains in diversity for the incoming class.

The Ann Arbor campus’ student body remains one of the largest in the state with more than 51,000 students. Undergraduate enrollment increased to more than 32,600 students, with graduate and professional school enrollment topping 18,400 students. Enrollment data will be made final later this month.

The information was presented at the Sept. 22 Board of Regents meeting by Paul Robinson, associate vice provost for enrollment management and university registrar.
