Hilarious! Trump allies urge him to announce 2024 run after GA runoff because they know he's a loser

WASHINGTON (AP) — It was supposed to be a red wave that former President Donald Trump could triumphantly ride to the Republican nomination as he prepares to launch another White House run.

Instead, Tuesday night’s disappointing results for the GOP are raising new questions about Trump’s appeal and the future of a party that has fully embraced him, seemingly at its peril, while at the same time giving new momentum to his most potent potential rival.

Indeed, some allies were calling on Trump to delay his planned announcement next week, saying the party’s full focus needs to be on Georgia, where Trump-backed football great Herschel Walker’s effort to unseat Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock is headed to a runoff that could determine control of the Senate once again.

“I’ll be advising him that he move his announcement until after the Georgia runoff,” said former Trump adviser Jason Miller, who spent the night with the former president at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. “Georgia needs to be the focus of every Republican in the country right now,” he said.

1. For someone who only interest is self-interest

it amazes me how often he acts against his own interest with his inability to shut up. He is transactional with people or organizations but is too dumb to see when they are transactional with him. The republican party doesn't love him, they love 75 million votes. When he doesn't deliver, they move on.

Trump's reaction to this will be predictable. The only course correction he ever makes is harder and faster in the same direction he was going. Absent blind loyalty and fealty to him he will burn the party to the ground before he alters his plans to help them.

2. I want him to announce today.

Like right now. I want him to suck all the air out of the room and draw all the attention. I want to see him antagonize, insult and belittle Ronny go-go boots on the debate stage. I don’t see any way for him to win the general. Not after everyone saw what a disaster he was the first time. DeSantis is the very real danger now, it would be awesome if we can get the idiot to kneecap him for us.
