Dark Times: Isolated and Meanspirited Trump Has Never Been More Irresponsible and Chaotic

CBS News Chief Election and Campaign Correspondent Robert Costa, co-author of a book on Trump with Watergate reporter Bob Woodward, reveals whats going on at Mar-a-Lago.
Many say hes listening to very few people, and is isolated, and meanspirited about his potential rivals, which is clear to everyone who reads the news or Trumps Truth Social posts.
Several of them say theyre tired of his rants and are avoiding him.
Trump, according to longtime top advisor Jason Miller, was quite possibly going to announce his third White House run on Monday, right before Election Day. In thinly veiled terms Trump publicly suggested he was talked out of it.
Costa also quotes a Trump advisor who says: I have never seen him more irresponsible and chaotic then he is today.
He seems to be in self-destruct mode, they add.

(36,463 posts)I was willing to be patient with the DOJ with the J6/insurrection investigation & charges, but this classified documents case? This is one of the biggest security breaches our country's seen and we're handling this guy with kid gloves. I'd be more than a little pissed if I was one of our allies.

(9,291 posts)is unable to understand that no adult voter in America wants to worry about politics 24-7. We dont want our politicians acting like children, and we also have our adult world we have to keep up with.
Trump just wants all attention, because he still lives in his silly tv sweeps world. Everything he does annoys us, because he keeps bothering us, about stupid crap daily. Hes just exhausting, but Trump , being a narcissistic person cant handle that answer.
Thankfully, it is the answer because the voters tell us so.

My friend (82) still gets many, many emails a day from repubs asking for money against the evil, radical liberals.
(They really like the word 'radical'.)
The plurality are from the Trumps.
Many now asking for money for Herschel, who will never see it.

(7,812 posts)potential to snap. Remember, some of his cabinet said they had to keep him from illegal acts all the time. What else don't we know?
So far, we seemed to have dodged a bullet. A dysfunctional, sociopathic, limited, angry, toddler of a human being was placed in the most powerful office in the world. He made deals with several autocratic foreign leaders and, more so than otherwise, came close to concentrating wealth and power not for patriotism but to establish governments of oligarchs that were more important than the nations that spawned them.

(12,864 posts)That metaphorical tower is crumbling at its foundations, and its lone resident is beginning to realize it is in the process of crashing down.
Cheeto Jesus will not dwell quietly in the broken rubble of his giant yet fragile ego. He will rage, rage against the dying of the megalomaniacal image he constructed of himself.
In his malignancy and hatred he will lash out in nihilistic vengeance and take down with him, to the extent that he can, everyone and everything he blames for his own flaws and failures -- which he can never blame on himself.
But he largely will fail in his efforts at destruction, because the tower he built was being held up by the one thing he is rapidly losing -- real power.
He may for a while instigate a war within the Republican Party using the leverage of his brainwashed voting base, but the politicians who formerly kissed his orange ass will drop him like a rotting potato when fealty to The LOSER Guy no longer serves their interests.
Because that fealty was always transactional, by political creatures whose only principle is their own quest for power.
