I'm sorry that you don't realize that it's Never going to happen. I too wish it would, but it won't.

(16,432 posts)From the article linked in the tweet:
"There's a lot of outstanding questions in that investigation, including the sorting through of classified material, of privilege, personal material ... We knew this was going to take a while, but by appointing a special counsel, they have sent a message that -- particularly the Mar-a-Lago investigation and January 6 -- they're going to continue, they are possible even ramping up," Reid said.
Obviously, a lot of people here think the appointment of the ecosl prosecutor means the opposite of the investigation intensifying, but I see no reason to assume that Trump's legal team would brew it thst way,

(10,434 posts)but, as others have pointed out, "According to reports" is little different from "some people say". Actual quotes from those experiencing the dread would be more convincing.

I think Reid's analysis makes a lot of sense, so I'm going with it for now, until and unless a reliable source says otherwise.

(3,050 posts)He has a tee time to worry about.
He has and always will be above the law as well as his minions.
Laws are for losers
They do what they want with no consequences
The law is dead.
We need to accept this and come together with a plan to stop this cancer.

(21,363 posts)The Mar-el-Loco crimes; Espionage Act and obstruction of justice are cut and dried, the evidence is there. There is no reason why an indictment should not be forthcoming .
Proving seditious conspiracy is much more complicated so having Smith in charge of those crimes makes sense to me because they are much more complicated.
With that said, I expect an indictment or 2 to fall shortly for the stolen documents because the N.H. primary is 14 months away.
There was no need for a special counsel, but it is what it is. Bad precedent set; politicians and relatives of politicians under investigation are going to be asking for special counsels.
Go get em Jack.
