Back in 2011, I began my retirement after serving 24 years in the U.S. Air Force. It was at the suggestion of the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) that I sign up for a Twitter account to help find a career in civilian life. It wasn't very helpful and I barely used it in since I activated the account. I kept it because I once believed it was a reputable social platform. Not anymore.
Never seen a questionably intelligent wealthy individual spend $44 billion to own Twitter in order to see to its destruction.
Real leaders don't spend all day on social media responding to EVERYTHING. They're too busy getting things done. SO refreshing to have President Biden focused on the business at hand rather than petty squabbles.
Damn expect your private information being sold overseas and your menstrual cycle diary being forwarded to right wing circles.
Tesla has about 574 billion in market cap and GM has about 57 billion. GM produces 10,000,000 cars a year and Tesla 900,000. Fundamentally there is no reason for Tesla's valuation other than the belief that Musk is some sort of genius.
If that genius idea becomes questionable, he's in for more losses than what he has invested in Twitter.
is about 7x earnings, usual for a large manufacturer.
Tesla's is 1600x earnings. The amount of growth needed to justify that is near impossible, especially as the EV market becomes more competitive.
The stock price is based on gambling about the stock price, not the growth of the company.
