2023 off to a horrendous start for shootings in the U.S.

No problems with gun regulations, say Republicans over and over again.

Within the first hour of 2023 (EST), there has been 9 confirmed shootings in the United States, including two mass shootings in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Mobile, Alabama

New year, same old crap. Nuts with guns killing people over what? I don't know the answer and I don't mean to upset any gun owners here. But clearly something needs to be done.

A coincidence that just one day before, Alabama passed a law to allow people to carry a concealed handgun, without no state permit that requires a background check? That made permitting optional?

Who did this?

"The National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action...lobbied for the Alabama legislation."

Opposed by: The Alabama Sheriffs Association.

Not a coincidence. Irony.

You NEVER hear of the financial cost of shootings, in the billions.

Who is paying?

off as dummass gun thumpers fired their guns into the air. Oblivious to the fact that when fired into the air, bullets can return to the ground at speeds greater than 200 feet per second! That velocity can easily penetrate a persons skull. People have been killed by this nonsense.

What did you expect to happen?

Sadly, to me, it’s just another day in bullet riddled America

None of this surprises me any longer.

I would be more surprised if people, you know, actually celebrated and no one died
