I watched an old Dateline 2 nights ago where a "Christian" guy shot up a car of young white guys. He had countless high tech weapons and lived with his wife and three beautiful children, who are now scared of "others" for life.
His warped version of Christianity and military background belie his trustworthiness. It's a horrible but thought provoking news story from 2011. And the hero is a transplanted police detective from San Francisco hoping to escape rampant crime by moving to a small town in the High Sierras.
A car full of young white guys looking for a party in the dark backroads come across a bizarre no trespassing sign, so they stole a solar light. Next night they took 2 more. That act of stupidity cost lives and caused countless irreparable damage to psyches of many people.
This case should be turned into a movie by someone like Ron Howard. One young man shot in the head died. They desperately tried to escape him. But he was enraged and gunned them down and then lied about the whole thing. He's serving 80 years in prison.
I keep thinking about the kids and his lies about keeping them safe. He lied about everything. THIS NEEDS TO BE A MOVIE. SO MUCH TO EXPOSE ABOUT GUN/CHRISTIAN/MILITARY/SURVIVALIST/PHONEY CULTURE.

(703 posts)You reminded me of this video and this band. I talked to the writer of the lyrics several times in social media. We had a back and forth and he just doesnt see it. But I wanted to pick his brain about his music and style and why his songs all reflect this fear of other.
