Bad-faith, meritless ‘investigations’ based on conspiracy theories and lies.

The Federal government is not being ‘weaponized.’

Weaponized and also held hostage by the GQP. It’s amazing how they can be so strong and also be such victims. Boo boo, assholes. We see you which is why there was no red wave.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to backfire on them worse than the Bill Clinton witch hunt did on Newt Gingrich.

It already is. The crazy caucus vs the spineless caucus...what could go wrong? faux news has to pick a side. OANN and Newsmax will be on the crazy side and the "investigations" will not bring in one independent voter. This could be the very last chapter of the repub party. Bummer.

they say people shouldn't fear the police if they didn't do anything wrong. Does that not apply ion the Federal level?

The title, "Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government," suggests there is 'weaponization,' and that it is operational.

Which they will want to use to exploit and manipulate the "Locked Ward" element of the GQP that makes up "the base."

when Obama took office. Many neo-con flavored bureaucrats installed during W's reign stayed on during Obama/Biden. One of my chief complaints was that Barak never saw the reality of needing to remove them. The idea that there could be reasonable GOP appointees from the Neo-Con days, rather than the stay-behind agents and outright sabotage trolls many were was flawed from the start. IMO he was too invested in the idea that Democrats should not appear to exact the kind of loyalty demanded by the GOP, and that the best way forward was compromise and dialogue.

As a principle of governing dialogue and reason are necessary in a democracy. However the Democratic Party underestimated how far the RW of the GOP had gone in salting the administration with acolytes, especially in the DOJ, State, DHS and Treasury.

In the name of official "investigation," they will attempt to obstruct and harass DOJ people over Republicans' aiding and abetting a coup. A little more sophisticated than the congress in Maddow's ULTRA, but really the same thing.
