(3,023 posts)If I think it not worth my time/effort/overhead to do or make something, unless I am desperate, I won't produce. I retired early before the pandemic because the hassle of the commute, stress of the job and scatter brained leadership I had to deal with simply made working more of a hassle than it was worth. I "quiet quit" even before that and before it was fashionable. It allowed us to downsize, get rid of a car and a bunch of other overhead associated with my work and found out how much could be saved by NOT working. It was quite illuminating and rewarding.
