to the answer given, are not good at measuring what people actually believe to be true. Too many people answer the questions in a manner which expresses their sense of identity, not what their personal observations and reasoning faculties would otherwise have dictated. One sees this with religion too, not just politics.

If "is the moon made of cheese?" had been made into a political football, you'd get at least 1/4-1/3 of people saying yes, including some of the NASA astronauts who had been there themselves.

To Hell with 'em.

I've already had three patients today who reflexively declined their routine influenza vaccines. I went back into the exam rooms, straightened them out, and have three more immunized patients on the books. My patients listen to me; they know I have their best health outcomes in mind.
