with my dads guns and when we were going hunting or target practice
he opened the safe he took the guns out and put them in the truck
he took them out of the truck when we got were we were going
we walked from the truck into the woods since we were hunting squirrels
he watched me load the one round into the chamber with the bolt
locked to the rear he loaded his gun, we sat down and then I put the bolt
forward leaving the safety engaged, and we waited.
have a lot of very fond memories of those days.

didn't kill many squirrels but we had good talks.

No better or worse than a 10-22 or a Mossberg Blaze. In fact, the Ruger is (imho) a better gun. The mags on the S&W always looked a little sketchy to me when loaded, they rounds didn't line up quite right.

Then, a few years ago when I decided to go legit and get my concealed carry permit, the range that was holding the class had a Charger up on the shelf.

My new favorite plinker is a charger 22 with a 1913 brace, a red dot and a banish can.

Was your back order due to supply chain, or special order (i.e. Stainless, laminate stock, etc)?

Yes our locals are using the phrase gunman to describe this six year old.

Here is what is being said at this moment.

The six year old started arguing with the teacher. Then he pointed the gun at her and shot her in the chest. (If this is true, he shot to kill). Police are saying the shooting was intentional. He meant to do it. It was no accident/

I just wish they would drop the phrase on this Sinclair puppet station "Fortunately no students were hurt" because it sounds like the follow-up is yeah, just a teacher by the school haters.

Disappointed that the kid never completes school projects.

It is traditional for the child to then get "blooded" by dipping their fingers into the deer's blood and smearing it on their forehead.

My neighbor's daughter got her first deer at eight and refused to wash the blood off her head for days because she was so proud of it.

My son's best friend asked me why I refused to let my kid get a gun...

I looked him straight in the eye and said, "I can't get him to pick up his dirty socks in the middle of the living room, why would I let him bring a gun into my home?"

Yeah, he shut up.

So it is not surprising that a child could get a gun, take it to school, and have the skill needed to shoot a teacher in the chest.

39. Michigan actively encourages children under the age of 10 to hunt
Sun Jan 8, 2023, 10:41 AM
Jan 2023

"The Mentored Youth Hunting Program offers a great opportunity to teach children under 10 years old hunting skills and about the important role hunting plays in wildlife management. It is also a great way to pass along Michigan's rich outdoor traditions and conservation heritage. The program is designed to recruit youth into outdoor recreation at an earlier age. Studies show if children do not have an interest in an activity before age 10, it is unlikely they will continue with that activity later in life.

The program is geared toward parents and other adult mentors who want to teach children under the age of 10 how to hunt, trap and fish. It eliminates the minimum hunting age in Michigan, and allows parents to decide if and when their child is ready to go hunting."

My eight year old grandson got his first deer last fall.

I know they normally won't charge parents for the crimes of their children, but they can sure as heck charge them for enabling the crime. Whoever was responsible for this gun obviously wasn't responsible and needs to be criminally charged.
