This is a major side effect of their movement

Run a far-right platform that alienates, shows a callousness and disregard for others that discriminated against those with differences and a platform of hate.

They win their election, all is good and well. They lose, they cry fraud and their followers engage in lawlessness because they’re sore losers who can’t handle that their autocrat lost.

And what does Brazil do? They arrest participants from this charade, just like they are pursuing a case against George Santos, while our ‘leaders’ are never held accountable for anything - no matter how bad it gets.

People who say this is the greatest country in the world, we sure don’t have the greatest justice system in the world.

Sometimes, other countries need to be emulated for a better America. Brazil and how it seems willing to hold others accountable is one of those instances.

The dangers of fascists like Bolsonaro are still fresh in many minds in Brazil. So, I expect they will act swiftly to preserve their democracy.

We haven’t had their past experience…yet…
