Jan 6th was an attempted fascist take over of America. Trump, Bannon, Stone, Flynn, some Republicans in Congress, etc, are fascists.
Bannon, a close ally of Trump has been openly pushing fascism here and around the world, including Brazil. The ex-president of Brazil, a fascist, fled Brazil and is now living in Florida. Are you fucking kidding me. Yesterday there was an attempted fascist take over of Brazil.
When Trump left office he stole secret documents. We don't know what was in those documents. The FBI, CIA do. The fascists in the House are about to start investigations into the FBI, CIA etc. That is insane.
Trump and his band of fascists are not just playing golf in Florida.
I have have telling everyone here for months there are more to the investigations than meets the eye. The FBI, CIA, other National Security agencies most have secret under cover operations in place.
Both Garland and Smith and the CIA may be investigating things we do not know about. Secret operations we don't know about. Both Garland and Smith are not just prosecuting Jan 6th. They are prosecuting the spread of fascism here and around the world. Trump and Bannon have a direct connection to the ex-president of Brazil and of course Russia.
What we have witnessed cannot be ignored by Garland or Smith, the FBI, CIA, the National Security agencies. When the hammer of justice comes down, the shit is really going to hit the fan.
Stay tuned, it is going to be a hell of a ride.

And someone pointed out that these wackos have no central organization to handle supplies and equipment. Each member has their own stuff at their own house.
Kind of how the feds took out the Hell's Angels and other terrorist groups in the '60s. History does repeat itself.

(4,913 posts)When Garland and Smith bring their investigations to an end. We and the American people are going to be shocked by what they have found.
The J6 committee did an outstanding job. However the, DOJ, FBI, other security agencies have better tools, more power, to do an even better job than the committee.
I can't even imagine what is going on in the secret document investigation. When the secret documents were recovered it must have set off alarm bells, major alerts, investigations. throughout all of our national security agencies.

(4,913 posts)This is bigger than any of us can imagine. What is taking place in the investigations, we can only imagine. We have never seen anything like this in our lifetimes. This is not going away.
What took place on J6, the stolen secret documents is unprecedented. It must be prosecuted.
It is impossible for Garland and Smith to one day say to the American people. We will not prosecute any of the coup plotters because there is not enough evidence, It's impossible. What has happened in the past is irrelevant.

Being found guilty? This system is rigged, and when Smith and Garland do nothing, it will be all over but the crying.

I hope for the best here but at this point nothing is going to shock me really
except that in the end I have no faith any real consequences will happen
. That nothing will happen after all of this will still be a shock. In fact this all seems like the twilight zone
what has to happen for someone to put a stop to it
how bad does it have to get?

(4,913 posts)The point of my post is these investigations are bigger than we can imagine. All the investigations are still moving forward. None of them have slowed down, as matter of fact they are expanding. That tells us a lot.
If you were in charge of the DOJ or FBI. Would you want to know what Trump and the coup plotters are up to now. Would you like to hear their conversations. They are all targets. Would you want to put in place undercover agents, undercover surveillance on the coup plotters. Would you want to turn one of the coup plotters and have them go undercover for you? Wear a wire. Yes you would.
There is shit going on we don't know about. This is not going to go away with a whimper.

(5,939 posts)Much smaller. My imaginary investigation already has Trump in jail at this point, two YEARS in. I imagined him locked up minutes after they found him with classified documents. This a farce.

(17,601 posts)Charging him with the stolen documents would be a nice start, and would not preclude future prosecutions. We are letting the worst American criminal of our history continue to live in his palace and thumb his nose at justice.
What is so complex about being tried for illegal theft and possession of secret documents? How would anyone but Trump have been treated in identical circumstances. The fix is in, and it has always been in. Hope is faith based; I have lost faith. The only justice that Trump will face will be delivered by karma and diet.

(4,913 posts)What is so complex about an ex-president stealing secret documents, you asked. You got to be kidding.
Chainfire
(17,601 posts)the execution of a legal search. No, the crime is not complicated. Any other American would have a trial date by now, they would have been incarcerated and interrogated in order to find out who besides the former president had seen the documents.
What is complicated is avoiding prosecuting such and open and shut case while still keeping people hopeful that an indictment is just around the corner, any minute now.....last July, August, September, by Christmas, after Christmas, right after the New Year. I will ask is there any amount of time that will pass before the faithful admit that they have been played for suckers? When will they realize that there is no Santa Claus?
Stay tuned, we will soon see the opening of another investigation into the former president's criminal actions! (that will keep them pacified for a while)
Am I cynical? Damn right.

(4,913 posts)These are the largest, most sensitive, most complicated investigations in our history. Soon, in Georgia, we are going to get an answer one way or another if the top coup plotters will be indicted. If Georgia indicts, so will Garland.
It always made sense to me Georgia would finish their investigation first. They started their investigation before Garland took office and their investigation was much smaller in scope. Their smaller in scope investigation took two years.
