Hey! When are we going to start talking about Representative Comer and his ex-girlfriend?

According to news sources, the sanctimonious prick beat the shit out of his girlfriend and threatened her mother if she got involved. It was a big public scandal in his home state, and for some reason nobody wants to talk about it. I personally heard about it on Keith Olbermann‘s podcast a couple weeks ago, and I’ve been waiting to hear something about it in the mainstream press or here.

You gotta read the whole article. Four paragraphs won’t do…

(On edit: Send this far and wide. It should go viral)

and have carried on electing him. So I doubt there would be much interest if the media did bring it up again. The Kentuckians in his district seem to have made up their minds. I suppose "Me Too" might mean a change of viewpoint, but you'd have thought that would have started before now.

This is a national story now because he’s a national guy all of a sudden. I’m sick and tired of giving these guys
The benefits of the doubts.

so he's not going to lose his seat by us telling them about it again, and fellow Republicans won't care if he won't lose his seat - he'll keep his position in the party.

Any witness appearing before his committee should preface any answer by stating something along the lines of "I resent being addressed by a wife-beating piece of shit who ought to be doing time for felony assault, but of course I will answer the question. What was it? Hard to remember when looking a piece of shit left out on a dias. Really pisses me off, fucks beat a woman like that."

Other than that, first of all, I'd make them take me to court to get me to honor one of their subpoenas. And only if I lost would I show up under protest and open my responses to him with, "How dare a violent domestic abuser like you sit in judgment of me about anything? So ask your questions, but I'll just do your standard r tactic of saying I don't recall until your time is up. You'll just have to live with how turnabout is fair play."

Kentucky's 1st congressional district is located in Western Kentucky, and takes in Henderson, Hopkinsville, Madisonville, Paducah and Murray. Very, very rural. Very, very red.

I’ll see you one Rep. Comer beating his girlfriend and raise you a Rep. Ken Calvert suppressing a story about cops finding him in a car with a hooker.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1994/06/05/americas-latest-soap-as-congress-turns/f94eaa8a-104c-4beb-a9ef-12d85fc3d881/

Please note the date: 1994. How many times has he been re-elected since then?

Sen. Franken stepped down over a clownish photo. Calvert was being serviced by a hooker. IOKIYAR. Again.

All of which is to say that I fervently hope the Comer story catches fire. But I have reservations galore.

and Thomas seems to have survived hers. At least the asshole didn't turn into a stalker, and if he did, the geographical cure worked.

I hope she continues to heal. Some of these guys are so bad, they tend to put us off men for years.
