I want mental and physical pain and anguish for the Slobfather and his goons.

I can't guess how any of the political stuff breaks these days, so we put it on ignore. It makes no sense.

(81,599 posts)However, for that paper which was published in the British Medical Journal, the conclusion at the time was hospital admissions due to transport accidents did go up and they recommended Friday 13th believers to stay off the roads.
About ten years later, researchers in Finland looked at traffic accident data from 1989-2002 and concluded that there was in fact no difference. But again, they recommended against driving for anxious believers - just in case.

(7,675 posts)I purchased 5 Mega Millions numbers this morning. I don't wish to win the entire jackpot, although having a chunk of play money would be nice.
I wish the Presley family peace and comfort during their time of devastating loss.
I wish that homes in the highly active tornado hit areas would be built differently. We have the resources, knowledge and technology to get this done.

(948 posts)I live near Port Dover...
Google Friday 13th, Port Dover.
Just want a nice easy ride home after work...not police directing traffic at every intersection...
But...snow here today...will cut down a LITTLE on the action...
Yes, they will still show up in the snow.

(269,187 posts)Why do bikers go to Port Dover on Friday the 13th?
It began innocently enough on November 13, 1981. The story goes that Chris Simons suggested to a few motorcycle buddies that they meet for a few beers at the Commercial Hotel (today known as Angelo's of Dover). Word spread about the get-together so that Friday evening on November 13, 1981 about 25 guys showed up

Paid off a lot pre-ACA medical bills that were hanging over our head with that money. And got a Genuine Buddy Scooter for commuting back and forth to work.

(6,697 posts)Since the baby came everything with those 2 is mortal combat. It's heartbreaking and getting worse. Both of them, their natural instinct is to see each other as the enemy instead of the actual problem to be solved. They have proven to be an absolute powerhouse when they work together. Unfortunately they managed to get on so well that it took being new parent level tired to show the cracks.
It was so bad at my house tonight I finally had a say. In the most loving way I could but I did not exactly sugar coat things. So if I get any wish for Friday the 13th its that the resolve they seem to have when they left here tonight sticks. These two "kids" are a great pair and I know love each other. But if they can't fight the trouble instead of each other, they are doomed.

(1,766 posts)For once in her stupid life.
She's never, ever meant it when she asked what I wanted for a birthday or holiday. If I told her I wanted X, she would literally reply with, "Oh, no, you don't want that." As if I don't know my own fricking mind.
One time when she asked, I finally told her, get whatever you're going to get, because no matter what I tell you I want, you'll get what you want me to have, anyway, and maybe I can get something for it on eBay. She tried her typical manipulative gaslighting of boohooing to everyone she could about how awful I was for saying that to her, to try to get them to shame me into apologizing for what I said. It didn't work. I would have eaten a barrel of mice tits before I took it back.
And don't even get me started on how I'm ticked off STILL over how she refused to let schools promote me ahead because she stupidly worried more about my "social" development than intellectual. I'm an introvert. I don't and won't and never will give a hootin' holler about social anything. All of that garbage is STUPID to me. All she did by holding me back was make me hate school AND people more than I already did.
And it didn't help with how I wasn't so fond of her, either.
So I wish I'd had a real mother, and not the one I was tortured with.

Starting with the wealthy throwbacks among them.
"Conversion therapy" for fascists.
And everyone lives happily ever after. Wars become extinct, nasty diseases are cured, everyone has enough to eat, and all good things never come to an end.
Then our lovely alien friends leave our planet in search of the next planet they plan to save from destruction by fascism.
Hey now, if we're gonna make wishes, why not go big time?
