Calling President Obama a foreign born UnAmerican..

drew out high turnout of Latinos,Asians, African-Americans and non-white minorities to vote him back in office. In these demographics, there is identification with the President that somehow he is different because he is non-white, not entitled to the position that the people elected him to. It's is sad to say, that I have come across many people, that while being the product of an immigrated parent here, are US born citizens, but treated as though they were second class citizens, or immigrants themselves. As one person, told me, "How can I go back to where I came from, when I was born in this country?"

The death spiral that the RW GOP by excluding those that do not fit the ideal they hold for themselves is long-term. Token representatives of a Latino, Asian and African-American in their ranks, as if to say, it represents diversity, are in fact, insulting.
So GOP, continue to delegitimize the president this way, because you also alienate a body of folks who may experience this on a day to day basis, but whose votes you need if you have any hope of ever regaining back the Whitehouse. America has changed, and the GOP is being left behind...

I hope the GOP takes your advice. I agree totally that they should emphasize how anyone who doesn't fit their Gordon Gecko mold doesn't deserve to win anything, much less the white house. Rush Limbaugh should hammer away at that theme every day until the next election.

I don't see the GOP embracing LGBT, immigration, womens issues or any aspect that causes someone to be excluded rather than included.....America is trending liberal....GOP will remain in the wilderness...
