(5,106 posts)especially after Bush vs Gore was previously egregious enough Are we ever going to correct the fact that the only office in the land for which the majority of voters can be ignored is the PRESIDENCY, no less?.This has happened TWICE within two decades. I can see why the Republicans aren't upset, since things "fell out" their way. Othrwise, they were prepared to fight if Gore got less popular than electoral votes and still won in 2000. Our presidential elections would have benefitted. why doesn't this BOTHER the Democratic PTB?

(2,771 posts)bipartisanship in all things. The hard far right will never give up power for truth. Or even acknowledge truth. If something is true, we shouldnt need the Republicans to join in. I get the optics politically of bipartisanship, but I think were moving beyond it. Or, rather, that the Republicans are moving beyond it in their extremism.
