(161 posts)...and I remember the Nixon Presidency quite well. Only thing is, Nixon wasn't anywhere near as creepy as Romney, that's saying a lot, and Nixon occasionally told the truth when it could benefit him in some way. The third debate flop-sweat reminded me quite a bit of Nixon, brought back some memories.

The 44 (actually 43) Presidents good or bad are forever immortal (and so are the VPS.
And Nixon was a saint compared to today's Republicantealibertarians.

(20,851 posts)We are talking about a 1 term governor who basically served half a term. Poppy Bush for instance laps Mitt in circles in terms of his lasting political influence even if he did lose. Same with Nixon who was VP. Even Dewey was active in politics long after his 3rd term as governor ended.
