What's your number one issue? The one you want Obama to use his Bully Pulpit for?

For me it's clearly getting taxes raised on the wealthy to get the dam deficit under control so we don't have to cut programs that the middle class needs and we can level the playing field! Also, using some of the money for infrastructure spending to get the economy pumping again!

Once that's settled,

Businesses don't waste money on it.
We don't spend money on it (outside of taxation).
Nobody goes bankrupt.
People at low wage jobs can work and stay healthy.

If there is no profit motive for treating a condition, maybe we can start getting cures again.

Higher productivity due to healthier workers.

Too hard to do. Doing something about the shenanigans at the polls ranks up there. It's cruel to have people stand for hours to exercise their right. And let's face it...many simply can't do it physically or don't have the time. Maybe vote online?

This objective could be achieved by a transaction tax on Wall Street trades, limiting interest rates to no higher than 10% (a usury law), a much larger increase in social security benefits, making labor union membership the default condition of employment, and raising the minimum wage to $15/hr.

Number two is 4 more supreme court justices in 4 years

Then I want Hillary45 to nominate Obama for the US Supreme Court in 2017 (was it Taft? ??) then for President Obama to be at some point Chief Justice Obama after Roberts retires

Idon't think this is an impossible dream either

or better. If we do not invest that much or better into our crumbling infrastructure, we won't have a middle class.

In other words, a real stimulus leading us to renewable energy resources within this new job market. Put the engineers with ideas to think of how we commute, how we bridge, how we use our water ways, air, wind, even it it means using some natural gas (safety).

Educate, return the fairness doctrine to the people's airwaves, using the public school systems, vocational education and life long learning incentives in the work place. Create Medicare for All single payer plans to help the employers manage and government pensions level off, as they might with this much added benefit.-

My grandfather and great uncle stood up to be counted with the union men in the '30s under FDR when the chips were down and organizing and striking were damned bloody endeavors. Not a day goes by that I don't feel that we've let them down as a country. The NLRA was a wonderful gift and legacy that generation of workers fought, bled and some died to give to future generations. Now it's been pissed all over and trampled underfoot....for shame

This Congress deserves it reputation as the least productive and least popular
body ever because of their refusal to work together on anything that might
be perceived as making Obama or the Dems look good.
