The Spicy Baboon website sells a range of T-shirts, coffee mugs, mouse pads and similar products emblazoned with cheeky images.
One image of Hitler with a rose between his teeth, surrounded by love hearts, and with the phrase Be Mein below it infuriated leading anti-hate campaigner Dr Dvir Abramovich, chairman of the Anti-Defamation Commission.
Anyone who ... believes there is no way to express love than through Hitler, its a very warped and deranged mind, Abramovich said.

(5,725 posts)We were never trying to glorify that man in any way. It was meant to be a joke between people, and we obviously have a different sense of humour to some, Mackenroth said.

Mackenroth said the young company, which began after he and others lost their jobs during COVID, was not aware of the depth of feeling that remains in the community concerning Hitler and the Holocaust.
So he's full of BS, or he's astoundingly ignorant. Neither is a good choice.

(5,725 posts)Mel Brooks (and Charlie Chaplin, and the Three Stooges, and Walt Disney, and Monty Python, and the list goes on and on) all mocked Hitler. I'm sure you already understand the distinction, but I'm still compelled to note that there is no mockery in this product. This is more along the lines of the infamous TV sitcom Heil Honey, I'm Home, trying to "play cute" with one of history's most loathsome shitbags. (At least South Park left him condemned to Hell.)

(32,645 posts)... and he probably died a virgin. He might have been the world's first incel.
I just finished reading the book by Ernst Hanfstaengl who became acquainted with Hitler in Munich before the rise of the Nazi Party. Hanfstaengl was one of the very few of Hitler's contemporaries who got out of Germany before WWII began, and he actually lived until 1975. In his memoir Hanfstaengl hints that Hitler was probably incapable of sexual relations with any woman, and he was definitely not gay. Hitler only escorted women for appearance's sake, including Eva Braun.
For MAGAts to make Adolf Hitler their Valentines Day "mascot" is beyond bizarre.
