Twice during the French and Indian War.
Twice during the American Revolution.
And three times during the War of 1812.
And there Canada still stands, with national health, sensible gun laws, and Tim Hortons, which beats the hell out of Dunkin Donuts as a national coffee and dougnut chain.

(367 posts)If climate change makes it impossible for the United States to grow food and Canada becomes the breadbasket for North America and countries become dictatorships. but I think more likely that countries may not exist as they are today, but break up into fiefdoms.
