It has nothing to do with my feelings about Maher, though I was a much bigger fan years ago. We actually saw a rehearsal for the show in Hollywood and had a great time. But I haven't watched him much in the past couple of years since he seemed to shift his opinions on things. I used to watch the monologue every week, the opening interview sometimes depending on who it was, and the rest of the show depending on the guests. But I haven't watched him much lately. I did tune in to the Bill Barr interview but didn't much care for the overt friendliness at the beginning of it, so I changed the channel.

My one other encounter with Maher - I was at a Beatles convention in Los Angeles a decade or so ago and he walked in and came to the display of records I was looking at. He and myself and friends had a brief chat with him. He seemed ok at the time. We didn't talk politics.

comic for CNN for a few months. 3) MAHER with his contrarianism fits LICHT's mandate to tamp down the SUPPOSED Lib leaning rep.

The interesting part is how LICHT has COLBERT connections (after starting out as SCARBOROUGH's hatchet man at MSNBC) and MAHER has been blatant about no-love-lost with COLBERT - get it, LICHT bringing MAHER over might irritate COLBERT? *** And I sincerely hope NOT to hear from the crowd that won't let go their belief (with their documentation links) that it's a Wingnut Conspiracy Theory regarding LICHT-CNN-FauxLite, tia. (Might I have an opinion without having to withstand a flaying?

COLBERT, LICHT, and MAHER are big boys playing big boy games, no need for anybody to defend them from a barely-capable internet jockey like moi.

Just *interesting* in an observational way.

The palpable tension:

John Malone efforts are paying off.

Promoting TFG is not a good move by CNN
