"SNIP.......

Florida House Speaker Paul Renner (R) unveiled a bill removing the state’s requirements for a permit and training to carry concealed guns, an idea endorsed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), the Orlando Sentinel reports.

The legislation would eliminate the need to get a license to carry a concealed weapon as well as the required weapons training that goes with it.

the cowboys had to turn their guns in at some towns. Not now you have to be armed at all times. All they had was a six shooter now you have to be armed for combat. It's crazy.
The gun nuts say they need them for coyotes or bears. People drove many species to extinction and murdered millions of native Americans using muzzle loaders.

I wonder what that will do with the waiting period. CFL owners don't have to wait.

I'd rather keep my license and avoid having to make a trip back to the LGS in a few days.

https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/what-is-permitless-carry-understanding-floridas-gun-laws-in-light-of-new-bill/2962434/

Although the proposed permitless carry would make it easier for Florida gun owners to carry their weapons, the bill would have no effect on the current requirements for purchasing an actual firearm.

Therefore, those already prohibited from buying a gun under the current law will still be prohibited. The state's current list of requirements for purchasing a firearm, including a minimum age of 21, would not change.

Fifteen bucks a year not to have to make extra trips to Talla-Fuckin-Hassee is cheap. Think I'll keep it.
