So I'm suspect whenever I read anything suggesting it.

I'm for Elizabeth Warren, 2016.

equals Castro or Chavez.

Hillary is a center-left Democrat. She is not a socialist. Want proof? Ask any real socialist if Clinton OR Obama are socialists. They'll laugh in your face.

They are trying to build the narrative that is rightly ours.

You got the work all done?? Haven't you had enough elections for awhile??
There is a lot of work to be done. If we do it right 2014 and 2016 will take care of themselves.
Christie will be dead by then. Too heavy. Hilary will be tired by then.
I just do not understand why you have to worry about four years from now when there is much to do.

Thu Nov 8, 2012, 01:22 AM

Give it a rest. No matter what people think, the candidates four years hence will not be the ones trotted out here on DU today.

The UK does national elections on a six week schedule. Many other countries do the same. It is totally insane to put our country into a perpetual campaign mode. That's why congress has a low double digit approval rate.

Give it a rest. Anybody who really cares about this country doesn't give a tinker's cuss about who will be running for president four years from now. We will know that in three years, or so.

But one thing is sure. It will not likely be the top candidates today.

Give this shit a rest. We have work to do, no part of which is electing our next president. Maybe we ought to be more worried about taking back the House of Representatives. Just maybe. That is two years from now.

It is all about perspective, and about tiring our short sighted, ignorant electorate. Let this 2016 meme go. It is irrelevant now.

The whole shape of things political in 2016 depends entirely on what happens in 2014.

We need to take back the House of Representatives. That will give President Obama the mandate he deserves, because nobody thinks that today's House will do anything different than the last two years. No matter what Boehner said today!

After the 2014 midterms we can begin... begin thinking about 2016. To do so before then is mere political masterbation. In other words, a useless exercise and an utter waste of energy.

rather than selling out our ideals, he should take every opportunity to highlight the intransigent nature of the pukes- and hopefully the voters will give him the congress we need in 2014

Fuck the media and their obsession with shoving certain candidates down the public's throats. It could be someone totally unexpected on both sides.
