I feel very protective of this man and his family now.

They have won my heart this week. The humility, the transparency, the authenticity, the courage and the sacrifice of Barack and Michelle Obama have really touched me. It is a real act of patriotism for them to give the next four years to fight for us, for democracy, for America. Who knows what kind of stepped-up hatred will be showered on them? Who knows what obstructionism, what treachery, what verbal violence are ahead?

And the talking heads say this is not a "great" president.

I beg to differ.

I've been critical of this president at times. But right now my admiration and respect is very high.

from the ashes of years of war and ignorant waste, the plundering of Americas inheritance, President Obama fought the unreasonable, kept the mark, and carried America back to freedom and greatness, preserving and strengthening the sacred rights of all Americans.

The more shrill the hatred, the more likely the nation goes more Blue in 2014 and again in 2016. If the GOP moderates over the next 2 years, they could perhaps make gains. But if the President becomes subjected to more and more bile, the House will tilt left and perhaps return Speaker Pelosi to her rightful place.

I too feel a great sense of protection for OUR President and his family.

Obama cannot be reduced to a footnote in history, nor can his first term be labeled a mistake. His legacy is now secure.

was first elected, that he is the bravest man of all. And look at the unbridled, hideous, racist, lying, obstructionist manure that's been thrown at him and his family and he still keeps smiling, working for us, genuinely caring for ALL the people.

I have a deep respect and affection for him and his family.

I haven't been spending a lot of time in DC this past year, but I'd defend Michelle and the girls with my life, if given the chance. I'm weary of the kooks.
