An acquaintance once told me the the original Hebrew of the "Thou shalt not kill" Commandment simply says, "No kill".
And honestly, no matter what the precise wording, I've long felt that the commandment should be crystal clear. Don't kill. Not anyone. Not ever. Not in any circumstances.
But what do I know?

(16,543 posts)Much as I wish everybody would just let abortion be legal, I have to give the Catholics credit for at least being consistent. But then I get along with Catholics better than I do fundamentalists anyway, because I know Catholics aren't going to try to convert me.
