Democrats will be sorely pressed to hold onto their Senate majority two years from now.
The problem is that none of the GOP Senate seats appear flippable while several of the Democratic seats are vulnerable (Mary Landrieu in La., Kay Hagen in NC, possibly Mark Begich in Alaska).
Furthermore, there's the issue of Frank Lautenberg in NJ. Assuming Lautenberg runs and is reelected, he would begin his latest term at age 90, with Chris Christie very possibly remaining as governor -- the one who could (and would) appoint a Republican replacement in the case Lautenberg's term couldn't be completed.

I'd also like to see someone take on John Cronyn in Texas. I'd like to see a latino run there.

(4,340 posts)Of course, Pryor is about as useless as Blanche Lincoln, but he's still a Dem. And I haven't heard much about Tim Johnson since his stroke. Anyone know if his health is an issue?
