Please make this so during your last term, Mister President...

(31,706 posts)...he'll be doing a conference call with all those billionaires who threw money at him and came up empty. He's gonna have to tap dance on how their billions in ads, skewed polls and robocalls got them nothing...not the White House, not the Senate and barely held control of the House. Methinks sweating in an orange jump suit would be preferable to the hell he'll be facing in explaining why.

People like him are rarely made to suffer the consequences of their actions. But, the conversations he's going to face in the next few days may be a foretaste of punishment.

(22,109 posts)Especially when the "conversations" are taken into account.
My favorite scenario is an extremely humiliating public trial where everyone comes out of the woodwork and exposes what really went on during Bushco's reign.
People like them have been getting away with not suffering the consequences of their actions for far too long. Something needs to be done now (within President Obama's Presidency), or the next time a criminal gang sneaks into power they'll know for 100% sure they can get away with anything.

(3,557 posts)I guess it just shows how much my experiences in the war in Iraq continue to impact me when nearly every time I see good ol' w. bush it puts me into a rage.
That guy needs to be tried for war crimes for what he did to Iraq. Although I doubt he does, he needs to live in a personal hell over the death and suffering that he inflicted on those people and the families of our Soldiers who suffer as a result of what they did or what happened to them in Iraq as well.
I will never bring myself to forgive the republicans for george w. bush and what happened in Iraq. The fact that they hide behind the American flag as if they were some sort of "true" patriots is an insult to the people who have died or suffered while wearing that flag.
I know it isn't healthy to hold on to the hate like this, but fuck george w. bush. The word "hate" is a strong word and isn't one I like to use when I describe people, but I absolutely hate that guy. I wouldn't even say that I hated the people I shot and killed when I was in Iraq even though they wanted nothing more than to see me die.
Again, fuck george w. bush.

(1,361 posts)If he only made a couple of weak efforts to stop voter suppression, if he has done nothing to investigate Kathleen Nicholas in Wisconsin, pursued only a couple of convictions for the Republican antics in 2010, done nothing to investigate if our voting machines are rigged, gave up on pursuing Wall Street fraud,
he won't go after the Bushies.

And while we're at it, I agree with Hubert Flottz' comment in post #37 about adding Rick Scott to the list.

(5,610 posts)This is one of my great hopes for President Obama's second term. He really needs to clean up the past (and ongoing) fraud perpetuated against Americans. This is as important as prosecuting the men responsible (financiers like rmoney) who purposely drove our economy to the edge and then profited hugely from our misery. IMO, this must be done if Americans are to have any faith in our government. If the status quo continues we may still have a major uprising. The re-election of our President (no doubt) postponed a major civil unrest but we must prosecute these people(?).
