Jewelry store in VA closes to mourn election results, tells sane Virginians they should be ashamed

This is even better than the idiot yesterday who had his mini-tantrum and turned over all the papers in order to avoid looking at "HIM".....

http://www.wdbj7.com/news/wdbj7-bedford-jewelry-store-closes-to-mourn-tuesdays-election-outcome-20121107,0,5851578.story

I hope his pity party was worth it cause it sounds like he lost some customers over his whiny antics!

Going Out Of Business Sale

This crap never works. The owners aren't very bright.

I mentally took a pic of all the jackass businesses that had Romney signs. I'll never go there again.

Personally, I'd cruise by around Xmas to see how the going-out-of business sale is going.

and make a rather large sign (big enough to fit over his door) that says "Obama 2016" (yes I know he can't run again, but I'm just saying this for the purposes of the sign to piss someone off). Then use the thickest stickiest tape to put it on his door.

I wish I lived a little closer, but I'd have to drive about an hour to get there. I think a nice Hilary 2016 poster would be nice too!!

Must think of someone who live closer to this asshole than I do......

He might burn his own store down in a fit of rage.

Either way, you're right, it's one dumbass business move. But if he wants to put a poster in his window and close up for a day to get over his snit, I don't really have a problem with it.

Common sense would tell anyone, though, that ticking off a percentage of your potential customers before they even walk in the door isn't too awfully bright.

Driving to the hotel the first morning from my cousin's house, it was odd to see the number of small businesses there with very large political signs associated with them - either in yards or on buildings. After a while however I decided that it was a good thing - if I lived there, it would allow me to spend my money at places that agree with my political values.

I spend time in Southside VA doing genealogy research, and you wouldn't believe the stuff I've heard in courthouses, libraries, archives, etc. I remember when racists & homophobes had enough personal shame to keep it to themselves or their families, but now it's "out & proud".
