Please don't ever forget what the Republican Party tried to do you. Do not ever get comfortable
with them again and never ever forget what they tried do with Woman's reproductive rights.
You now know who really has your back, so when things begin to heal and it will take some
time, never forget who got you to this point..And of course we on the other hand will always
remember that without your strength and perseverance we would have never arrived at this
glorious junction. All of us should Never Forget!

(165 posts)I'm so happy that minorities in America finally figured out that if we all band together, we are no longer the minority.
That lesson needs to be remembered at the mid terms and in 2016.

I told my first husband that I thought I might be having early onset AZ and he said, what do you mean, early?
Seriously, I will not; cannot forget.

(45,319 posts)the Republican Party in the modern era. Not sure why you'd address the three top Democratic voting population segments, when it is in fact our 'White Skinned, Straight' community that heavily votes for the Republicans again and again.
I question the need for the implication that groups voting 70% and more Democratic were once 'comfortable' with the GOP. That is simply not the case.

(32,610 posts)I was stunned at the idea that we were ever so stupid as to support the GOP. It is an insult.

(45,319 posts)Democrats. They should be looking to us, all the groups mentioned, and taking notes not handing out advice.

(32,610 posts)Where do you think this is coming from?
It is profoundly ignorant so clearly some asshole started it somewhere and other fools repeat it perhaps not realizing what an insult it is.

(26,449 posts)Thanks for maybe clarifying via mind reading. At first I was confused, now I'm irked, or perhaps peeved.

(95,337 posts)In fact unless you are a wealthy white landowner OR a fetus you pretty much do not count in the GOP party.

(200 posts)Karl Rove does not have my back. He is anti-gay for reasons I don't understand. He is not ( one hopes ) from our flock-- we tend to be cute to handsome typically ( inside too, I'm not shallow). George W's video talking about spending "political capital" spells out how beholden he is to doing his own thing ( like spending taxpayer dollars like a drunken sailor) without regard to the elderly, Head Statt programs and gay crisis centers, all areas of the American Electorate that got recognizedinally for their voting power. Tis crap about GOP soul-searching is silly. Whether or not they have a soul, white Repulicans do not give a fuck about non- whites. Hell, they don't even respect their Log Cabin gay Repulicans ( I respect them, I just don't understand them). Big shout out to females and their success in the Senate. Please have all our backs!! Our Democratic Party is the only reasonable hope to get his great nation where it wants to be.

(10,611 posts)You're lecturing the wrong demographics.
You need to work on the poor, misguided "brothers and sisters" who drive beat-up POS cars with GOP stickers on them.
With black voters consistently coming in north of 90% for Dems and Hispanic voters over 70% this cycle, it's pretty clear who already KNOWS who has their back.
Go do some REAL lecturing to the people who keep delivering the likes of KY, OK, and AL to the GOP.

And it will come!

(1,451 posts)Its the reason a lot of us are here. There is no SANITY in the Republican Party. Do you honestly think they can appeal to voters that they have said they can't stand to really be a part of that non-truth speaking based group???? There will be no handshakes or false apologies that will gain the respect and support of a people who they have continually said that disgust them.
When they speak to people outside their perception of normal they don't even have the vocabulary to engage. You cannot engage what you don't know. One of the reasons I never trained on my JOB. I was hired to do my job not to train. Learned my lesson at a major retail company. 5 women including myself capable for position, none were even considered. Brought in someone, male from hardware department to assume position. He needed to be trained how to run department. Couldn't get help from me. In fact from no one else. When he was fucked up we would let management come from upstairs to address his problems. When management asked why we did not help him we simply stated that it was not our fault that he didn't know procedures, they are the ones who put him there. The truth hurts sometime.
The republican party must walk the wilderness for years to come. they have not learned their lesson. They are still talking against the very people they need. And are truly saying that they don' needt the minority electorate. And with that sentiment I will keep my 150 +6 coalition of voters right here in the Democratic party. I will not train republicans to get my coalition Sorry!!!
