bril. my dr and i discussed this very subject the other day and what a waste of money where instead that the corps could have spent all that money for living wages for the workers.man, if i was a share holder , id object to this kind of spending .

They're quite willing to loan the US money, but not pay it in taxes. Ergo, they have the money, they just don't want to give it up.

Sort of like how poor people don't need any help because they can afford new sneakers. Or own a microwave oven.

... They spent billions stimulating the TV, radio and print industries. As well as the many pretend pundit, skewed statistician and unthinking tank jobs they created. The skin bronzer manufacturers and make-up artists did well too. And think of all the employees at Wikipedia who worked tirelessly to update the meaning of the word "rape" hourly for the last three months! We should be thanking them.

How about taxing ALL US registered corporations profits no matter where in the world these profits are earned?

They did do a lot of job creatin' in the television, radio, outdoor advertising and newspaper businesses. Maybe they thought that qualified as "doing their civic duty."

If an individual top tax rate of 36 % or whatever would force CEOs to can people why weren't businesses going belly up all over the place in the 50s when the top rate was 91 or 92% each year? I'd like someone to pose that to Boehner and watch him squirm.

Really, they intended to make a profit from those. Unfortunately, they can't write it off as a business loss on their income taxes.

Considering they got nothing for all that money, that is, Citizens United backfired on them, they might actually come around to seeing that just shutting up and paying taxes would be cheaper.

Um, but that's a joke. Of course they won't.

I guess that shows what would happen to our money
if we were to privatize!
