You know what concerns me about the GOP "making a bigger tent"?
The GOP obviously saw the numbers from the election. And you know they see the increasing Latino demographic and how many turned out for this election. I fully expect A LOT of closed door meetings with behavioral specialists invited, maybe a few conservative leaning Latinos and the corrupt bunch that created the obstruction pact to bring the economy to a stand still just to make a one term president out of Obama.
The GOP is going to embrace this demographic but not out of genuine concern or the desire to make their lives better. They see them only as a huge voting block. I can hear them saying, "imagine what we can achieve if we can get that demographic in our tent."
When will we see the Latino version of Fox News? It has to be coming and I truly believe if it hasn't been discussed it will be. If the rethugs can manipulate and trick this demographic as successfully as they have done with their base, their chances of winning elections could be endless.
It would be fine if the GOP would be genuine and truly work to get the Latino vote because they want them to have a good life here, but it won't be genuine. The GOP will view this increasing Latino population as simply a pool of people to tap into to win elections for themselves. They just have to figure out how to manipulate this group successfully

Republicans had African Americans, Hispanics and women speak at their convention--in a vacuous effort to convince people that they actually had respect for people who weren't white or male.
It didn't work because it was window dressing without any substance whatsoever.
In fact, I was insulted as a woman, that Republicans would think that their anti-women policies and ideas would actually melt away in my mind--simply because they stacked the stage with women.
I can't speak for Hispanics or African Americans, but I imagine they felt the same way.
Will Republicans ever learn? It's not enough to prop up demographics on a stage.
It's your policies. PERIOD.
You want Hispanic votes--then actually have policies that benefit Hispanics. Lobbying for electrified fences and demonizing immigrants is not suddenly ok--just because you have Marco Rubio give a speech. 
Republicans just don't get it. I've never seen so much collective stupid in my life. They seem to ignore reality.
The reason is they will have to wait until Latino voters can no longer remember what their party has done. If African americans haven''t forgotten, please understand that asians,latinos,and arab americans will keep them to memory also. I have friends of these different cultural backgrounds. They know and understand. They also know the dream act was not just for Latinos. They tell us over and over again about the hispanic population growing. Unless I went to a public school that under performed, I was taught that Texas,Nevada,New Mexico,and parts of California was all Mexico. Or did I read something incorrect about our Country's history?? And wouldn't that make some Latinos 4th or 5th Generationally vested in America???? Doesn't it mean they have always been here?? And now all of a sudden the Republican Party wants to woo them?? They can see the emperor has no clothes!!!!!!
