Please do know, though, that some people in such situations really truly are very confused and don't intend harm; they just really can't think normally. It's the same mental phenomenon that produces horrid actions in war. It is profoundly sad that people aren't stronger than this, but, in most cases, it's not because they're evil. Just sadly pathetically weak.

(22,336 posts)It was a very dangerous time. I really just think they could have been more compassionate to the mother. I have two kids. I can only just barely imagine what she was going through. I can imagine enough to know she was dying inside.

(47,992 posts)people are to be pitied too for all that they will be less likely to experience, to know and to have for their own, before they must make their own leap into the hereafter.
And though the loss of the little ones is something that I don't know whether I would EVER have the capacity overcome, at least her family and community, and yes even her little boys who are STILL in her heart, will nourish her spirit and carry her through this.
From personal experiences which have taught me NOT to tell pretty fairy tales about death, I know that the things I am saying here are true, though I also know she'd very likely give it all just to have her little angels back with her.
Sad sad sad.
