ROFL! "Karl Rove: Obama Succeeded ‘By Suppressing The Vote’

http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/rove-obama-succeeded-by-suppressing-vote?ref=fpa

"Karl Rove told Fox News' Megyn Kelly on Thursday that President Obama won re-election "by suppressing the vote" with negative campaign ads that "turned off" potential voters, citing a victory that carried a smaller percentage of the popular vote compared to that of the 2008 presidential race.

Rove also praised Mitt Romney for a job well done, but criticized his campaign for failing to combat President Obama's Bain attack ads early on.

"He ran a valiant race," Rove said of Romney. "To suggest all this could have been easily won had there been somebody else, I just don't buy that."

"The first group to respond to attacks on Bain was American Crossroads," Rove added, who co-founded the super PAC."

I mean, really. I waited 35 minutes to vote in my conservative district, and I know one of the poll workers and she said that was the longest the line was all day. If you live in a conservative area, you don't wait. If you live in a liberal area, you do wait. Whose vote is being surpressed?

Successfully Bought: Retained a single Republican Senate seat in Nevada. By 12,000 votes, or 1.2%.

The scale and scope of American Crossroads failure is perhaps too large to really contemplate. Karl Rove was handed nearly FOUR HUNDRED MILLION dollars, and got next to nothing for it. A catastrophic, career-ending display of incompetence, capped off by a bizarre on-air meltdown that will become one of the iconic images of the election.

A more utter humiliation for a cartoon villain would be hard to imagine.

are making me laugh left and right. They have literally lost their minds (if they had one) because President Obama was voted in again.

And they can't figure out why he was voted in again, and why the USA rejected their ideas. It's hilarious "Why did we lose".

After '08 they formed the Tea Party so the GOP base could distance themselves from the mainstream Republican party.

Then the Tea Party took over the GOP. Now mainstream Repubs want to get away from the Tea Partiers.

Maybe Fox News and Glenn Beck can cook up another "grassroots" organization for them to flee to.

I have to say I read this article several times, thinking it was a parody of a news story. But it is an actual news story. (How does one parody this???)

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/11/08/karl-rove-obama-succeeded-by-suppressing-the-vote/

Rove said about Obama:

“He succeeded by suppressing the vote, by saying to people, ‘You may not like who I am and I know you can’t bring yourself to vote for me, but I’m going to paint this other guy as simply a rich guy who only cares about himself,’” he said.

But Rove didn’t provide evidence that Obama had prevented anyone from voting, only that his campaign had convinced Americans not to vote for Romney.

“Fifty-three percent in the exit polls said on Election Day that Mitt Romney’s policies would only help the rich,” he continued. “And they voted for Obama by a 9 to 1 margin. Of the 21 percent of the electorate who said that the most important characteristic in a president was that he cares about people like me, they voted for President Obama by almost a 9 to 1 margin.
They effectively denigrated Mitt Romney’s character, business acumen, business experience and made him unworthy.”

I think this is called "winning" the vote. Not "suppressing" the vote.
