Anyone here heard of this guy?

Michael Everett Capuano;

Michael Everett Capuano is serving his seventh term as a Representative in Congress for Massachusetts' Eighth District, which includes Cambridge, Chelsea, Somerville and approximately 70% of Boston. He is a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Financial Services. In November of 2006, Mike was appointed to head the Transition by then Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi as Democrats prepared for a majority role in the 110th Congress. In January of 2007, Speaker Pelosi appointed Mike to chair the Special Task Force on Ethics Enforcement. In March of 2008, a resolution establishing an Office of Congressional Ethics was passed, involving non-Members of the House in ethics matters for the first time in history.

I brought this up because of a post I saw earlier while lurking about a replacement for John Kerry if Obama choose him as SOS, sounds like we have a solid gem hiding in our midst in MA.

We'll have to do something about his wife's name though; Barbara Teebagy Capuano.

He's a thoroughly good guy. He used to be mayor of my town (Somerville MA), and City Hall is a very short distance from my house.

He is a first-class progressive, and extremely popular here. Republicans don't even bother to run a candidate against him.

Would he make for a solid replacement of Sen John Kerry? Someone from Boston was talking about him and I decided to do some research on him.

Would like to see more info though, so far he comes across as a solid dem.
