She'd have done herself a great personal service to shun the public.
Hate mail and threats will follow from all sides.

(16,346 posts)Which have been biting at the bit for information n she gets interviewed by a seasoned interviewer while she looks so inexperienced n ripe for the pickins. She doesnt seem to be aware of the big bad world out there n that her life n those she knows will never be the same. I was impressed w/ her saying she was on the jury as she thought thats her contribution to being a good citizen but, o, my. She should have passed on this request for an interview.

(13,262 posts)looking for a man???
KS Toronado
(17,335 posts)"her 15 minutes of fame would lead somewhere", after watching her on MSNBC I came away with the
feeling she was promoting herself to become important in her community. Happily married woman would have
been wearing her wedding band so as not to give viewers the wrong idea.
"she's not wearing a ring means she's going on TV looking for a man" never said that, becoming the talk
of her town will make her popular and also unpopular with some, is she looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse
I have no idea, that's why I said MAYBE. Have a nice day.

(61,712 posts)Edited to add that I was momentarily speechless. I don't think I've read anybody say "A happily married woman would have worn her wedding band so as not to give the wrong impression..." since the 1970s, and it was a very outdated concept then.

(113,581 posts)such an unexpected source. Whether she is wearing a ring or not has absolutely NOTHING to do with ANYTHING about the special grand jury. NOTHING!!!! So why did you not only bring it up, but defend it when you were, quite correctly, called on it??
By the way, I know a number of happily married people who do not wear rings. And several singles who wear rings so they won't be bothered.

They would likely see her as more "normal" than the talking heads or politicians they usually see on television.
One possible positive from her information is that the door for discussion by "normal" Americans may have been opened?
maxsolomon
(33,400 posts)she did not put forth much in the way of sober, contemplative gravitas. she seemed impossibly young. better to refuse the interview entirely.
apparently she's never voted and was super excited to meet guiliani. she was the leader of a grand jury? i fear that's the danger of this process. the only people who can be neutral arbiters are the least informed.
i hope that interview doesn't lead to the RWNM using her to attack the process, but I know better. they use every weapon they can find.
Meowmee
(5,164 posts)First this has nothing to do with her background or where she is from. She is a fool/ idiot evidenced by her crazy demeanor and she is compromising one of the most important trials this country may ever see. Apparently that is allowed in GA grand jury rules. Jurors are normally not supposed to give interviews discussing anything about a trial while it is still in process. She could have ulterior motives for doing this and she has prejudiced further events in the case by expressing her love of RG as an honest man.
She, and the media and these rules are making a mockery of the entire justice system. The whole climate here of how these matters are handled is bsc imo. The media and all of the years of reality crap tv is a huge part of normalizing all of this.
inthewind21
(4,616 posts)Exactly how she is "compromising" anything?
"Jurors are normally not supposed to give interviews discussing anything about a trial while it is still in process" Has there been a trial going on that none of the rest of us know about? When were the indictments for this trial handed down?
