Please help me to understand
why the Republicans seem so surprised that Romney lost.
At what point did the Romney campaign order fireworks ?
From what I understand about Romney, he is number focused and pragmatic. Not a big believer in long shots.
Sooooo ... how was he expecting to win? And why was the RW press going along with that delusion. Anne came out in a red VICTORY dress and pageant hair for Chrissake.
It doesn't make any sense. What was he expecting to happen-- seriously? Did he think democrats wouldn't vote? Did they think they had the fix in on voting machines? Had Rove assured them of 90%+ turnout among whites?
I need some help understanding the gap between Romney's thinking and objective reality. Did they hide polls from him? Block his browser from viewing fivethirtyeight? Burn newspapers before he read them? Is he surrounded only by people who believe in creationism and can therefore mentally block out any objective proof and data presented to them?
What? What? What?
And why would it have been appropriate to have his victory night and FIREWORKS in Boston, where he is so widely despised? Could it be that he didn't know he was losing Massachusetts by 25%+?
Can someone help me with this? And please- not just "he's an asshole" but really how could he have thought he was going to win?
