You know how we said in 2008 that the GOP is an endangered species? It isn't bias, it's FACT!
From Time magazine: "State polls showed Romney winning big among independents. Historically, any candidate polling that well among independents wins. But as it turned out, many of those independents were former Republicans who now self-identify as independents. The state polls weren't oversampling Democrats and undersampling Republicans - there just weren't as many Republicans this time because they were calling themselves independents."
Add to that the fact that high turnout from OUR 2008 base of minorities, young people, and women was proved to be no once-a-century fluke but a new (and growing) demographic trend.
Add to that the fact that, after 4 years of Fox News and conservative high-pitched shrieking, and after 2 years of the mainstream media obediently painting Obama as a weakling, Romney got 2 million LESS votes than "loser" John McCain.
Add to that the fact that, despite reclaiming 2008's surprise blue states Indiana and North Carolina, Romney lost every swing state AND whiffed on recapturing any of the reliable Kerry/Gore states.
Yes, Obama got 9 million fewer votes than 2008, mainly due to white moderates throwing up their hands and staying home. Yes, even reliably blue states were tighter than four years ago. But make no mistake--our house is still strong. Theirs is on fire.
