1. Medical care is much better. Why? Cures for many diseases that were not cured before.
2. Education is available to many that was not available before. (including college)
3. Help for the poor is more available now then before...example: food stamps.
4. Job training is more available, now than before.
5. Communication is more available now........."Wait is this communication...on computers?" :
6. Long distance phone calls are much cheaper than before.
7. Relatively speaking many products are much cheaper than before.
8. More TV stations now than in the 50s
9. Computers are far cheaper than in the 80s or 90s.
10. In many places we have more "LIBERAL" governments than before.
11. Travel is sometimes much cheaper than before
12, Racism and Anti-Gay before far less than before
13. Old TV shows & Old Movies...are much more available than before
14. Computers were a dream, now everyone owns one...Wait ...is this thing I am typing on ...A COMPUTER?

1. Seriously? I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but some of those statements just aren't true.

College isn't really more available than it used to be because it's vastly more expensive; until Reagan became governor of CA, tuition at state universities was free, and Reagan was the ideological source of the horrendous student debt we have now. It's no longer possible to work your way through college. Medical care is better only if you can get it and if it doesn't bankrupt you. We don't have more "liberal" governments; more states are controlled by the GOP than by Democrats, and in Europe the autocrats are becoming more powerful. Help for the poor is no better than it was 50 years ago. Racism and homophobia are on the upswing; just ask the Southern Poverty Law Center and the FBI. And I'm not sure that having more TV stations is "better" when you consider how much of their content is crap.

4. College is more available. There are more colleges and some are very inexpensive.

City colleges have expanded and are more common than before.
Medical Care is better than before. In the early 50s there were "Polio Epidemics" That disease is "eliminated"
Some medicines are so much cheaper than before....?? (what about anti-biotics?)

....Compared to the 60s and 70s...Racism is far less than before...

For the poor, it denies care you need,
We are banning books and teaching hate in schools around the country. There is a severe shortage of teachers and a record number leaving the professional altogether.
Republicans are regulating help for the poor like never before.

I am paying 7 dollars for a loaf of bread (no I am not exaggerating or kidding) and 11 dollars for a dozen of eggs. Gas has come down.
More anti gay and transphobia here than I have ever seen in my lifetime.
Everyone doesn't have computers, we learned that trying to school people in COVID. Even when they have a device, they don't always have internet access. Nor can they afford it.

I suppose if you pick the 1930’s as “before”, it’s definitely true; the 1950’s, partially true, and the 1960’s -70’s, definitely debatably partially true, excluding technological advances.
