The segment just ended and I wholeheartedly agree with Megan (except that part about liking Bill O'Reilly). She is what the Republican party needs. They need more moderate, young, diverse people in there for them to have a shot. She made some very good points about how the party will die off if they don't accept the fact that the country is "browner" and how they need to get over these social issues. I actually liked the segment very much.

Yes, she talks like a valley girl - like so many young women these days. Hard for me to get used to in my dotage, but that's the way lots of people talk today. Like many Republicans, I have a southern accent, and it probably makes me sound dumb to some people. I hope people listen to the content of what I'm saying rather than the dialect that is used when I speak.

I agreed with her more than the GOP guy that was also on.

I thought it was a good interview, which he does well.

She has been the first logical Republican talking head that I have seen. She realizes her party is out of touch and will continue to die unless the republicans get rid of their outlandish views on social issues like gay marriage, abortion, and how they don't reach out to minorities.
