https://www.thedailybeast.com/cpac-has-a-major-fox-news-problemDays ahead of this years Conservative Political Action Conference, it remains to be seen if and how Fox News will cover the annual right-wing confab amid CPAC boss Matt Schlapps alleged groping scandal.
Over the past few years, the conservative cable giant has not only aired the entire multi-day conference on its digital streaming platform Fox Nation, but the network has also been a Featuring Sponsor of the event. In 2021, for example, Fox Nation paid $250,000 to help underwrite the overtly partisan political gathering. The year before that, the Fox streamer paid $28,000 as a sponsor.
As of publication, Schlapp and his annual convention have all but disappeared from the Fox News universe. None of Fox News Medias outlets are listed among CPAC 2023s list of partnering sponsors, which includes the networks conservative arch-rival Newsmax as well as far-right competitors like Real Americas Voice. Additionally, Fox staffers told The Daily Beast they have yet to receive any guidance on how they will cover CPAC.
Word is that many BReTHUGs are also staying away.

1st Amendment they shout and yet they have put the USA in danger of losing "freedom".
It needs to fade away along with RW hate, propaganda, constant lies and make up stories. I truly hope fake news die a painful death.
There should be a class action suit against them for elections, i.e. total harassment of election officials, election workers and volunteers, etc.

(2,357 posts)surrounding this story. First appeared about two weeks ago, and then... crickets. Am well aware of the "innocent until proven otherwise" propriety, but was recalling all the fuss about Anthony Weiner and his appropriate resignation. Seems a bit like a double standard when an accusation involves a high-profile Repug.
