Turns out they were drinking and street racing.
Police: Toxicology report shows UGA recruiting staffer LeCroy was drunk, traveling 104 mph before crash.
Georgia football star Jalen Carter was charged on Wednesday by Athens-Clarke County police for street racing and reckless driving in connection with the fatal Jan. 15 crash, the department said in a release.

(17,862 posts)strips them of their National title. The SUV was supposed to be used for recruiting, and I have to wonder about what were the duties of the woman who also died in the crash. I got to think the family's lawsuit might pull a curtain back on recruitment and player retention.

So, you may feel butt-hurt about UGA winning the National Championship, but to use this horrific episode to try to pull their national championship is utterly ridiculous (and worse).
This horrendous episode led to the death of two individuals. Yes, their inebriation and recklessness brought on their own horrific end, but it was hardly an officially SANCTIONED event as you'd imply.
Your comment is not only lacking in humanity but really unseemly.
