Start it like beginning in 2024, persons born from January 1, 2024 and later will have to work until 70 to collect social security. That’s the only way to make it fair.

A government that will throw Grandma off the cliff, the handicapped under the bus, and parents to poverty, in order to sell a 'new American promise' to the next generation, can not be trusted not to screw the youth; regardless of the 'new' promises.

than if they had remained under current SS rules. Would love to see SS expanded, but don't think it is likely anytime soon.

those months when he and Sinema were scuttling the admin/Dem party agenda. This is such a stingy, repug thing, and he knows all that has to be done is raise the income ceiling.

The problem is that people above an income of what ... $130,000 .... don't have to contribute a fair share of that added income to the SS pot.

Either raise that figure, or dump the cap entirely. No rich ppl hurt, but problem solved.

have these rich fuckers pull their 3 trillion dollars from their overseas accounts, and put it back in American circulation and tax it at 15%.

Yes, I know. He's the best you'll get in WV, but maybe not? Perhaps a Republican would actually care about his poor constituents. WV is a beautiful State. It needs a Senator that cares about West Virginians.

You would prefer a Republican to replace Manchin? Are you out of your ever-loving mind?

You see some pretty stupid stuff here….but this is right up there.

It goes without saying l want Democrats to have a majority and control the Senate. It just doesn't seem Manchin cares about his constituents after he gets re-elected.

I, like many, get frustrated hearing about him being ok with cutting social safety nets, relaxing regulations that help his business, being anti all alternative energy, and complaining about deficits when he passed a permanent tax cut for himself (tax cuts for the non-wealthy Manchin was ok with having expire in 2025).
