1/6 footage: just what does McCarthy think it shows?

FTR, I think that releasing the footage is a breach of Capitol security and a bad idea.

But McCarthy, Carlson, (insert more names of GOP nut-cases here).... seem to think that "they" (???) are "lying" about something.

I'll assume that "they" means the 1/6 Committee.... but what's the big secret the committee is supposedly keeping from everyone?

Any of you folks have any idea?

1. Two things come to mind...

1. They're going to cherry pick video to show the areas and times where dumbfucks were moseying around, not fighting, not being confronted by police. They'll argue it was a tourist visit and police let them.

2. They'll focus on anyone wearing black and say it was Antifa.

You have to keep in mind that RW media has pretty much avoided showing the violent portions of videos to their audiences because it goes against their narrative.

8. But it's still detectable.

Getting caught actually producing deep-fakes is probably not likely. Takes away plausible deniability. Deceptive editing is MORE likely as they do it every day.

CP will be smiling, joking with the tourists by the time they're done. They was framed. Don't forget this will be for Faux News consumptive audience, most of whom haven't seen reality from Jan 6 yet, and never will.

5. The people who will selectively edit the footage know damn well what the truth is, as does McCarthy

We are dealing with propagandists of the foulest sort — they do it for the money.

Of course releasing the security cam footage is stupid past belief. It shows the bad guys exactly where to go and how to get there. Do you think FOX cares?

AFAICT, McCarthy is delusional, and some fine day he’s going to end up inside that tiger he’s riding. I just hope the meal is public, and soon.

6. We won't know what it shows until the editing wizards do their thing

By the time Fox gets through with it, I expect the footage will show a MAGA tea party on the south lawn of the White House, interrupted by a Woke Thanos, who will be vanquished by Tucker "Ferrous Metal Dude" Carlson in tights and a flowing cape. Cheers will ring out across the skies for Tucker and the invincible President Donald J. Trump. Meanwhile, Joe Biden, Charles Schumer and Nancy Pelosi will be off to the side, crying their eyes out.

10. Also could be used as bait...

Probably not the best word to use but now that they have the tapes they can use them to drag their base around by the nose.

Republics talking: (hey they say democrat).

“Wait till you see how they manipulated the tapes, now that’s a conspiracy!” “We’ll show you in a couple weeks prepare for the bombshells”. (It’ll be put off till next week, till next week….)

They’ll tease this shit just like the Pillow Guy did with his “evidence”, never showing the real meat of the videos right up to the election. Trying to discredit without any proof.

I think this will be like playing air guitar on a cardboard guitar. Looks like they got something but it’s just blowhard air.
