it wasn't what you might think. We've been reading about how Walgreen's stores in some states are refusing to sell mifepristone pills, even in a few states where abortion is still legal. In my state, Minnesota, abortion is protected both by a state supreme court decision interpreting the state constitution as conferring a right to privacy that includes abortion, and by recent specific legislation, just to cement it down. And here, Walgreen's does sell mifepristone pills.
So why the protest? Guess what - it was a bunch of anti-abortions loons standing in front of a Walgreen's store holding signs saying things like "Walgreen's kills babies." I gave them the middle-finger salute as I drove by, though I doubt they noticed. I would think that if they refused to sell mifepristone they'd get sued for violating the law protecting abortion.
