General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI see the past 2 days, there's been talk about the GOP having to change their message
in order to attract minorities. On PoliticsNation today, Meghan McCain said that her party needs to do a better job "messaging" and to find a better messenger in order to attract a wider share of the electorate. Now I'm here wondering precisely how they plan to do that. For instance, will they try to use the marriage equality issue again in order to drive a wedge between gays and minorities to get more of us to support politicians who favor vulture capitalism, or will they finally see how antithetical much of their fiscal policies have been to our interests and move to the left?
What are everyone else's thoughts on this?

(22,165 posts)the problem is the message. They really can't figure it out that they are pathetic in their rigid ideology. Let them cling to their ancient policies and they will still attract the same, ever dwindling groups of people.

(26,606 posts)to be more conservative, more anti-government, more theocratic, more xenophobic, more anti-woman, and just a touch more racist. I hate to give them advice, but I'm sure that if they turn the teabagginess dial up a few more notches, they'll do a lot better in 2014 and 2016...

Destiny failure.
This is basically in response to o'liars statement the "white establishment is now a minority". They just have no clue.

(45,851 posts)Getting rid of the RINOs and doubling tripling down on their policies and rhetoric is the way to a sure victory for the GOP.
Conservatism cannot fail, it can only be failed.

This group is clueless. Putting your Token whatever out front is not the answer.
You have to stop your bigotry. You must be willing to compromise. You need to actually pay attention to real science, believe actual math, not cooked books.
It will be like joining AA. you will backslide and the easy path is very tempting, but you will keep losing if you stay on this hateful, bigoted, narrow-minded path.

(31,706 posts)...their problem was somehow the "Chick-Fil-A- rushpublicans didn't show up on election day. It was...as I predicted...that the candidate wasn't "conservative" enough and that's why 3 million rushpublicans stayed home. True...Willard got less votes than Gramps did and thus the Round Mound is sure these people just plain vanished and all you need to do is find them and "the math" all works...the rushpublicans should have won every election.
The natives are angry and restless in the bubble...and they're definitely in not in the mood to be told why they lost. These are people who live in certainties and their world was turned upside down by reality. As we've seen so many times in the past...when the reality sucks...rewrite the reality. That is currently underway...
