I did some googling and apparently McCarthy's justification for giving Fox thousands of hours of video was, "I promised."

Now I'm no hard-hitting journo, but I think i would have asked a couple of follow up questions like, "WTF do you mean you promised??? Why are you promising Fox News....anything?? How do you justify such a promise?"
