we would use both DST and Standard Time for six months each.

But some genius decided to add about four weeks to the "summer" one.

For example I remember when it was dark by 6:00 on Halloween. Now the kids they have to wait to 7:00 to start with their visits.

And as I posted, to think of long evening hours in daylight when so many of us are still shivering and shoveling is really like mocking us.

Just my indignation.

It basically coincides with spring.

As a Minnesotan, who has done his fair share of shoveling, I happily take shoveling in the light and whatever warmth it does provide over the dark.

But I do hate the time jumping back and forth twice a year.
