6. That Should Be Economically Serious Damage

The Russian GDP is a bit over $4.8 billion per day.
8 tanks is $24 million so about a half-percent of of daily GDP.
A half-percent drop in GDP (admittedly annualized) would set off economic doom & gloom reports in almost every country.
This war of Putin is going to have the impact of the Soviet misadventures in Afghanistan. Or worse.

and Russia losing 8 tanks in a single day in Ukraine isn’t even unusual...it’s very close to average

plus the daily casualties have been trending up lately to upwards of 500-1000 per day
