Not sure what to think about this. (Spelling)

As we live with word completion algorithms and thumb typing and depending on Word, spelling gets worse and worse. So I wondered if it was even worth noting that a headline on CNN's Jake Tapper show said "Clearly alligned." It looked funny. It seemed nonsensical. Indeed, if Google can be trusted, it should be spelled with one L. The day was when of course it was worth noting. Has that day gone forever?
